Loving Jack is Cat Miller’s first Contemporary romance novel, a departure from her paranormal romance series, The Forbidden Bond Novels. She touched on a subject that was probably not easy to write and I applaud her for it.Grates Yates, is a senior in college at the University of Maryland when she meets Jack Landry. Grace has never been a wild spirit, her sole focus was on her studies the first person in her family to go to college. When she meets Jack her attraction to him is instant.
“What he looked like was a whole lot of trouble, and she was suddenly ready to break some rules.” (Grace)
From the beginning of their relationship it was fast paced passion, something Grace couldn’t believe that she was doing, but she couldn't resit. After one night together, Jack comes clean to Grace and lets her know that he is bi-sexual. Although this is a shock to Grace, it’s not that fact that Jack is with men that bothers her, it’s that he is with anyone else other than her. This starts these two people on a very complicated relationship, one that even though for a period of time they are separated, the passion they feel for one another is still strong. They both love each other but is it really the type of love that can hold them together as a couple and is love really enough. There are other people that come into their lives and this makes things even more complicated. This is a love story a complicated and emotional one, I felt for Grace and every heartache she went through. I couldn't be angry with Jack, he was always honest with Grace about his life style but, he was very conflicted about his feelings. I loved this book because it was different, not your typical romance story and even though there is angst and heartache, it was worth reading. I think this is one of those books that you will have to read for yourself, everyone will take something different from it.

Loving Jack edition by Cat Miller Romance eBooks Reviews
Had potential. The ending was so abrupt that it really made me feel cheated out of a more "fleshed" out resolution to the relationship between Jack and Grace. It just seemed like the author either ran out of ideas or time to properly end the story. Going from the last chapter to the Epilogue is not an easy transition. The storylines between Jack and Grace, Jack and Matthew and Grace and Luke deserved a chapter or two at the end to talk about how they were able to get to the events of the Epilogue. If this was reworked then I think I would like the story even more.
Loving Jack is quite unlike some of the other books in its genre, mainly because the love story isn't simple. Yes, I know, love is never simple, but what Cat Miller does is clever and so raw, it literally feels like you are going through the motion of events with Grace.
Poor Grace had my heart from the get go. Not because she was this in your face ass kicking female lead, but more because she was real. She was normal. She had clear goals and knew where she wanted to go in life, but the way Jack whisked her off her feet, did that thing on the bonnet of his car - yes, I would have fallen hook, line and sinker too.
Cat Miller does an amazing job bringing to life the strife and pain that comes with even considering a relationship that comes with strings, and by strings, I mean compromise, but not the kind people are often faced with in a normal "run of the mill" monogamous relationship.
Jack is honest from the start, and I found that endearing. He was a loveable character, but terribly conflicted. The attraction between Jack and Grace was sexy, sensual and believable, but so was the heartache. I cried when Grace cried. I cried when she consoled Jack and I cried when she stood up to the horrid Victor.
This truly was a beautiful, well written novel and one that I will read over and over again, because the ending...that ending just left my jaw on the floor, and I LOVED every minute of it.
Once I started reading Loving Jack I had a hard time putting it down. It was definitely a change up from Cat Millers normal story line but not in a bad way at all!
Both Grace and Jack are set in their ways. Jacks not a one "woman" man, Grace is goal orientated and a very... routine type of girl I guess you can say. They know what they want and have no intentions of changing, or so they thought. Meeting each other tests every life theory they've ever had of what they wanted. Emotions run high, friendships are tested and you will find yourself on a literary rollercoaster ride as you read on. I will give you a warning, however. The ending of this book will have you shocked. Please, before reviewing the book stop, soak in the ending, think about the circumstances and just take a moment for it to sink in. Trust me, you'll need that moment. LOL.
Really enjoyed Loving Jack, not the ending I expected but I really liked it.
This book left me reeling in shock! I couldn't stop thinking about it for days. I was so very sad that it turned out the way it did.
This is not your typical love story. Heartbreak, romance, unrequited love, steamy sex, hurt and in the end HEA. Great read!!!
Good story with lots of turns and twists.Good old college days!
In these modern days the ending did not really surprised me.In
some ways it was a little sad but very well written.
